Business Presentation and Storytelling
Spoken word, storytelling, creative writing and performance workshops are unique in the workplace. My workshops ask participants to tell an original story, sharpen their word choices and strengthen their professional presentation skills. These methods foster team building and growth, and fuel creative instincts that can enhance a group’s collective work. I can teach in German and/or English, so that employees can have the opportunity to practice their communication skills in either/both languages.

Spoken Word, Creative Writing and Storytelling Workshops
Time frame: 1-3 days intensive or shorter sessions that repeat over several weeks
Benefits: gaining creative writing and performance skills
Have you always wanted to bring your stories, monologues, hip hop texts, or poetry to the page? In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to do just that. Through a wide variety of writing techniques and methods, you will be encouraged to find your story and put it to paper. It is not important how much experience you have with writing, instead, it’s about enjoying and discovering words.
The moment a writer steps onto the stage, they engage with a new art form, the art of performance. The second part of this workshop will be about learning to captivate an audience with your stage presence. We will build up our performance tool kits with lessons on improvisation, movement, accessing our own voices and stage presence, by learning projection, speech articulation, breath support, memorisation, and confident use of the microphone. The class will offer time to write and individual opportunities to workshop current written work on stage.

This workshop will encourage you to express these memories through prose and poetry, teaching you a series of different writing methods and techniques so that writing becomes easy and fun!

Benefits: learning the oral artform of storytelling
In this course, you will learn the tools for developing your own story. First we will explore the traditional story as way to engage with the craft of storytelling, exploring the story-arc, dynamic detail, images, body language, voice and gestures. Storytelling is about seeing the poetry in the simple moments.
Once we have learned the tools of storytelling, we will make our way to our own stories, produced from our lives. While negotiating the boundaries of autobiographical storytelling, we will evoke images through our words, learn to embody our own story and find our own voice.
This workshop is not a writing workshop. We will be be engaging with the oral tradition of storytelling.

Autobiographical storytelling can be a powerful tool to use in anti-discrimination work. The contact hypothesis suggests that when real contact is made between people, biases can be dismantled. While negotiating the boundaries of autobiographical storytelling, we will learn to craft a story that is authentic, engaging, and real.
Creative methods can be a powerful way to engage people with creativity, self empowerment, education and learning. Over the years, I have had the privilege to work with a wide range of non-profits and educational institutions to create workshops and courses for young people, adults and elders. I have connected spoken word, creative writing and film and media to a wide variety of learning processes.
• to learn about history
